The following is a list of choices which represent the cost of our services.

*Should the family desire to hold a memorial service, visitation or gathering at one of our chapels, it would be necessary to sit down with one of our trained funeral professionals in person at Cremation Care by Wells.

**Once the online arrangements have been completed, the legal next of kin (authorizing agent/s) will be provided the necessary documents via email.

Cremation Care by Wells (Online Option) - $875


Includes transfer of deceased from place of death to our facility, refrigeration, online or 30-minute phone consultation, securing permits and necessary documentation, the cremation process, minimum cardboard container, processing of cremated remains as required by law. Cremated remains will be returned in a durable cardboard container. Free online notice submission to CremationCarebyWells website.

Alternative containers


If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you can use an alternative container. Alternative containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The container we provide is a cardboard container.

  1. Direct Cremation with cardboard container is $875
  2. Direct Cremation with container provide by purchaser $825





Transportation outside 30-mile radius - $2.50 per mile one way



Administrative Support - $75


Basic service charge for the submission of obituary notices. Obituary charges will be billed directly to the authorizing agent’s credit card.



Haywood County Medical Examiner’s Fee - $50


Only applicable in some situations i.e. residential deaths not under hospice care, certain assisted living facilities.



Shipping of Cremated Remains via USPS Express - $90


In the event the deceased’s weight is over 300 pounds, an additional charge of $150 will be applied for an upgraded reinforced minimum container to hold the deceased which is required by law.
